1. Acceptance
These terms describe DAYFACTOR 1.1. Optional accounts and wellness backup are features of version 1.1; version 1.0 does not include them.
By downloading, accessing or using DAYFACTOR, you agree to these Terms of Service and the applicable Apple terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. DAYFACTOR is provided by Ibrahim Khalaf, operating DAYFACTOR, Sweden.
2. Eligibility
You must be legally able to enter into these terms in your country. DAYFACTOR is not directed to children under 13. If applicable law requires a higher minimum age to use the service or consent to relevant processing, that higher age applies.
3. Wellness purpose and no medical advice
DAYFACTOR is a general wellness and self-organization tool. It may help you record habits, meals, hydration, focus, calm sessions, reminders and progress. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. Information and insights in the app are not medical, nutritional or emergency advice.
You remain responsible for your health decisions. Consult a qualified professional about medical concerns, major dietary or activity changes, or symptoms. In an emergency, contact local emergency services.
4. Your responsibility
If you choose an optional account, you are responsible for protecting access to your iPhone, sign-in provider and email account. Do not share verification codes or attempt to access another person's account. Contact support if you believe access is compromised.
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter, your device security and how you interpret general wellness information. Goals, calculations and patterns may contain errors or may not suit your circumstances. Use reasonable judgment and do not rely on DAYFACTOR as your only source for decisions involving health, safety, finances or legal matters.
5. Local data, optional accounts and recovery limits
Guest use and optional accounts
You may use DAYFACTOR as a guest or sign in with Apple, Google or passwordless email verification using a six-digit code. Apple and Google use native sign-in with Supabase authentication. Guest and account-local datasets are separate. Keeping current guest data at sign-in copies it into the account dataset while preserving the guest copy; starting fresh creates a separate clean dataset.
Optional backup and its limits
Account creation and wellness backup are separate choices. First-time sign-in, “Not now” or dismissing a backup prompt does not enable wellness backup. Supported records are uploaded only when backup consent is enabled. Previously enabled backup can resume when you sign back into the same account unless it was paused.
Backup covers habits and completion history, including schedule/reminder definitions; completed, manually ended, cancelled or abandoned Focus history; Nutrition meals/history, food/nutrient snapshots, saved meals/favorites and custom or saved/favorited provider foods; and hydration entries/target. Running Focus sessions, the full downloaded food catalog and food snapshot images are excluded. Profile Details/photo, Daily Goals other than hydration target, units, language, general settings, notification permissions/instances are not separately backed up. Apple Health samples and derived Health metrics are excluded from backup. The Privacy Policy explains the scope in more detail.
Once pausing completes, subsequent synchronization stops; existing cloud and local copies remain, and already-sent requests are not recalled. Signing out stops account synchronization and returns you to the independent guest dataset while retaining account-local records and cloud backups.
After a reinstall that removes device storage, restoration requires signing into the same account and explicitly enabling backup. Only successfully backed-up supported records can restore. Restore and conflict handling vary by category; competing changes or food identities can require resolution. DAYFACTOR does not guarantee universal cross-device synchronization, lossless merging, uninterrupted backup or recovery of every record.
You remain responsible for your device security and backup settings. Losing, resetting or damaging the device or deleting the app can remove records that have not been successfully backed up, including excluded local Profile Details and settings. Local-first use does not prevent authentication, purchase services or requested food lookups from communicating with external services.
Local-data choices and account deletion
You can delete your account inside the app after sign-in verification. Account deletion removes the Supabase Auth user and account-linked wellness backup records, with Apple authorization/token revocation where applicable. You choose to delete or keep this device’s account-local dataset. Keeping it archives that dataset rather than merging it into guest data; independent guest data is preserved.
Other devices’ local/offline copies are not remotely wiped. Limited deletion/security/recovery records and independently held provider records may remain as explained in the Privacy Policy. Account deletion does not cancel an App Store subscription.
6. Apple Health
With your permission, DAYFACTOR can read step count, active energy burned and sleep analysis. It does not request HealthKit write permission. Samples and derived Health metrics are processed on-device and excluded from Supabase backup. You can refuse or change permissions in Apple Health or iOS settings; disconnecting inside DAYFACTOR does not itself revoke iOS permission or delete Apple Health records.
Availability depends on your device, iOS version, region and supported categories. Apple Health information is subject to Apple’s platform rules and the wellness and medical-advice limitations in these terms.
7. DAYFACTOR+ subscriptions
DAYFACTOR is free to start. DAYFACTOR+ is an optional auto-renewing subscription that may provide deeper insights and additional premium functionality. The App Store purchase screen shows the actual localized price, billing period and included features before you confirm a purchase.
Trials and renewal
If Apple offers an introductory trial and you are eligible, the purchase screen shows its duration and conditions. Eligibility is determined through Apple. Unless cancelled at least as required by Apple before the current period ends, a subscription renews automatically and Apple charges the payment method associated with your Apple ID.
Cancellation, restoration and refunds
Manage or cancel through your Apple subscription settings; deleting DAYFACTOR does not automatically cancel a subscription; deleting a DAYFACTOR account also does not cancel it. Restore Purchases is available from Profile and the purchase sheet. Refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies. DAYFACTOR cannot directly issue an App Store refund.
8. Acceptable use
You may not:
- use DAYFACTOR unlawfully or to harm another person;
- attempt to bypass purchase, security or entitlement controls;
- reverse engineer, copy, resell or redistribute the app except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- interfere with the app, App Store services or connected systems;
- misrepresent DAYFACTOR output as professional medical advice.
9. Intellectual property and license
DAYFACTOR, its design, code, text, visual identity and original content are owned by the operator or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property law. Subject to these terms, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control as permitted by the App Store rules.
10. Third-party services and Apple terms
DAYFACTOR uses Apple services, Apple Health, StoreKit, RevenueCat and Supabase authentication/optional backup, with Apple and Google as optional native sign-in providers. Their services can change, be unavailable or operate under separate terms. Apple is not responsible for DAYFACTOR's maintenance or support, except as required by applicable law. Your use is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement and applicable App Store terms.
Online Nutrition searches and barcode lookups use third-party food data as explained in the Privacy Policy. Source data may be incomplete or inaccurate. Food and nutrient values can vary by source, serving size and user entry; verify information important to your dietary decisions. Nutrition-label recognition runs locally but can also produce errors. The nutrition and wellness limitations in these terms apply. Private foods and meal logs are not publicly shared; a community food database is not a current feature.
11. Availability and product changes
Features may evolve, be corrected, added, removed or temporarily unavailable. DAYFACTOR does not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, permanent availability of any feature or compatibility with every device, iOS version or region. Material changes will be handled reasonably and in accordance with law.
12. Disclaimers
To the extent allowed by law, DAYFACTOR is provided “as is” and “as available.” No guarantee is made that goals, statistics, reminders, nutrition calculations, Apple Health information or insights will be complete, accurate or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, loss of local data, missed reminders, reliance on wellness information, or third-party service failure. Liability that cannot be excluded remains limited only to the extent the law permits. This section does not limit liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, personal injury caused by negligence or mandatory consumer rights.
14. Suspension and termination
You may stop using DAYFACTOR at any time. Access may be restricted where reasonably necessary to prevent misuse, protect the product or comply with law. You may also delete your account through the in-app flow described above; signing out or pausing backup is not deletion. Subscription cancellation must still be completed through Apple. Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including intellectual property, disclaimers and liability limits—will survive.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by Swedish law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections in their country of residence. Disputes should first be raised through support so the parties can try to resolve them. You may also have rights to use applicable consumer dispute-resolution bodies or courts.
16. Changes and contact
