Privacy Policy

DAYFACTOR is designed around a simple principle: your daily wellness information should remain under your control. This policy explains what the app handles, where information is stored and the limited cases in which other services are involved.

1. Who is responsible

The controller and operator is Ibrahim Khalaf, operating DAYFACTOR, Sweden. For privacy questions or requests, email support@dayfactor.app.

2. The short version

  • DAYFACTOR V1 does not require a DAYFACTOR account.
  • Wellness information you enter is stored locally on your iPhone.
  • DAYFACTOR does not currently provide its own cloud backup, cross-device sync or account-based recovery.
  • Apple processes App Store purchases, while RevenueCat supports subscription entitlement management using an anonymous installation identity.
  • Apple Health information is accessed only for supported categories and only after you grant permission.
  • The marketing website does not include advertising trackers, behavioral analytics, marketing pixels, accounts or newsletter forms.

3. Information handled by DAYFACTOR

Wellness information you choose to enter

Depending on the features you use, this may include habits and routines, completion history, meals, foods, calories, nutrients, water or weight entries, focus sessions, calm or breathing sessions, reminders, goals, progress and related settings. This information is used to provide the app features you request.

Supported Apple Health information

If you enable an Apple Health integration, DAYFACTOR may read supported health information for which you grant access. The exact categories are presented by Apple's permission interface. You may decline access or change permissions later in Apple Health or iOS settings. DAYFACTOR does not use health data for advertising and does not sell health data.

Subscription and purchase information

Apple processes payments and maintains App Store purchase records. RevenueCat receives limited purchase and entitlement information needed to determine whether DAYFACTOR+ access is active. In V1, this is associated with an anonymous installation identity rather than a DAYFACTOR account. DAYFACTOR does not receive your full payment card details from Apple.

Support communications

If you email support, we receive the email address, message and attachments you voluntarily provide. Please avoid sending highly sensitive health information unless it is necessary for us to understand your request.

4. Local storage, offline use and backups

Production wellness data in the first public version is stored locally on the iPhone. Core local features are designed to remain usable without a DAYFACTOR cloud account and, where technically possible, without an internet connection. Internet access may still be needed for purchases, purchase restoration, support email and certain Apple services.

DAYFACTOR does not currently offer its own cloud backup, multi-device synchronization or account-based data recovery. Removing the app or losing, resetting or damaging the device may result in loss of locally stored data when no applicable device backup is available. Apple-controlled device backups, if enabled by you, are governed by Apple's systems and settings.

5. How information is used

DAYFACTOR uses information only as reasonably necessary to:

  • display, calculate and maintain the features you use;
  • show progress, statistics and supported weekly insights;
  • respect your reminders, preferences and Apple Health permissions;
  • verify DAYFACTOR+ purchase entitlements and restore purchases;
  • reply to support, privacy or legal requests;
  • protect the app and comply with applicable legal obligations.

DAYFACTOR does not use wellness or Apple Health information for targeted advertising. It does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment or medical advice.

6. Service providers and international processing

Apple provides the iOS, Apple Health, App Store, StoreKit and subscription infrastructure. RevenueCat supports purchase entitlement management. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices and may process information in countries outside Sweden or the European Economic Area with the safeguards applicable to their services.

Read Apple's Privacy Policy, Apple's App Store privacy information and the RevenueCat Privacy Policy for more information.

7. Retention and deletion

Locally stored wellness data remains on the device until you delete individual entries, use an available in-app deletion option, remove the app or erase the device. Because V1 has no DAYFACTOR account or cloud wellness database, DAYFACTOR cannot remotely retrieve or delete information that exists only on your phone.

Support emails are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain a support record, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. Purchase records held by Apple or RevenueCat follow the relevant provider's retention practices and applicable law.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR where applicable, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing of personal data, receive portable data, withdraw consent and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Some rights may not apply to information stored only on your device and unavailable to DAYFACTOR.

Send a request to support@dayfactor.app. We may need limited information to verify and respond to the request. You may also contact the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) or the authority in your country of residence.

9. Security

DAYFACTOR uses reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the app's local-first design. No device, transmission or storage method is completely secure. Protect your iPhone with an up-to-date operating system, device passcode and any backup settings you choose.

10. Children's privacy

DAYFACTOR is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. If local law requires a higher minimum age for consent to digital services, that higher age applies. Contact us if you believe a child has sent personal information through support without appropriate authorization.

11. Website privacy and cookies

This marketing website does not add advertising trackers, behavioral analytics, social tracking embeds, newsletter tracking, authentication or user accounts. The site does not intentionally set nonessential cookies. The hosting and network infrastructure may process basic technical request data needed to deliver and protect the website, such as IP address, browser information, timestamps and security logs, subject to the provider's operational practices.

12. Changes and contact

This policy may change as DAYFACTOR develops or legal requirements change. Material updates will be reflected by a revised date and, where appropriate, an in-app or website notice. Questions or requests can be sent to support@dayfactor.app.
